Titans linebacker Kevin Dodd has been placed on the ”did not report” list James Bradberry Jersey , putting his future with Tennessee in question.
The first pick of the second round in 2016 out of Clemson, Dodd skipped voluntary offseason workouts before reporting for the team’s mandatory minicamp in June. Dodd has started only one of 18 games played over his first two seasons, but the Titans hiring Mike Vrabel as head coach in January appeared to be the perfect chance at a fresh start for Dodd with a new coaching staff and new defensive coordinator Dean Pees. Yet Dodd only reported to the Titans’ offseason program in June when staying away would have meant a fine. He declined to talk to reporters the two days players had access to players. Quarterbacks, rookies and players who finished the offseason program with injuries were required to report Sunday ahead of the rest of the Titans coming Wednesday with the team’s first practice Thursday. Linebacker Rashaan Evans, the No. 22 pick overall, was out with a ”non-football illness” along with wide receiver Michael Campanaro. Defensive tackle Mike Ramsay was listed as ”non-football injury.” As expected Dallas Goedert Color Rush Jersey , starting right tackle Jack Conklin was placed on the physically unable to perform list. Conklin tore his left ACL in the team’s divisional playoff loss to the Patriots in January . Tight end Phillip Supernaw also was placed on the physical unable to perform list. — The Panthers were already without their All-Pro right tackle for at least half the season. Now they’re going to be without their something-less-than-All-Pro left tackle for a bit. The Panthers announced that Matt Kalil was going to get an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee after consulting with Dr. James Andrews yesterday. “After consulting with Dr. Andrews, the decision was made to perform an arthroscopic procedure on Matt’s knee,” Panthers head athletic trainer Ryan Vermillion said in a statement released by the team. “He will be evaluated on a weekly basis.” When a team goes “week-to-week” instead of “day-to-day,” you know it’s reasonably serious, and sets the stage for the Panthers to open the season without their projected starting tackles. Daryl Williams went down in training camp with a dislocated kneecap and an MCL sprain, and will likely be put on IR Carlos Dunlap Jerse , as a candidate to come back midway through the season. They also lost left guard Amini Silatolu during camp, as he needed surgery on a torn meniscus. That leaves 2017 second-rounder Taylor Moton (who was competing at left guard, before moving to right tackle, and now to the left) and a cast of dubious options and to-be-nameds for the starting jobs. |
