Početno Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles:

Third Quarter open thread Holding onto a 3-0 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field http://www.thevikingsfootballauthent...rsey-authentic , the Minnesota Vikings started the second quarter with a 3rd-and-13 from their own 17-yard line. Kirk Cousins dropped back to pass and found Kyle Rudolph for a short gain, forcing the Vikings to punt for the first time on the day. Matt Wile came in to boot the ball away, and with a decent bounce the Eagles took over from their own 33-yard line.Carson Wentz immediately went to work, as he looked deep for Shelton Gibson for a huge 48-yard gain, and they were all the way down to the Minnesota 19-yard line. Fortunately, the Eagles’ offense stalled out thanks to a dropped pass by Wendell Smallwood, and the Eagles had to settle for a 30-yard field goal by Jake Elliott to tie the game at 3-3.The kickoff from Elliott went through the end zone for a touchback, giving the Vikings the ball at their own 25. Cousins started things with a short pass to C.J. Ham, and a short pass to Stefon Diggs moved the sticks after Diggs made a ridiculous number of moves.Diggs then took an end-around and rambled for 20 yards into Philadelphia territory at the 39. Latavius Murray then broke out his best run of the year, going for 12 yards to the 27. After a one-yard loss and a false start on Diggs, the Vikings were facing a 2nd-and-16. A short pass to Roc Thomas got the Vikings back to the original line of scrimmage, and Cousins’ pass for Adam Thielen on third down fell incomplete.Minnesota brought Dan Bailey out for his third field goal attempt of the game, this one a 45-yard attempt. Bailey then pushed his attempt wide to the right, because Vikings’ kickers. The score remained tied at 3-3 with just under seven minutes remaining in the half.Carson Wentz and the Eagles took over from their own 35. He found Nelson Agholor for a first down to near the midfield stripe on the Eagles’ first play of the drive, and a short pass to Jay Ajayi moved the Eagles into Minnesota territory. Ajayi then moved the sticks on a run play, and Wentz found Dallas Goedert for another first down to the Vikings’ 31. Then, the greatest thing ever happened.Stephen Weatherly came through and hit Wentz, causing the ball to flutter into the air, and it landed in the hands of Linval Joseph! Linval then proceeded to rumble. . .and not stumble. . .and go ALL THE WAY TO THE END ZONE for a 63-yard touchdown! Bailey added the extra point, and suddenly the Vikings were up by a score of 10-3.Man Womens Brett Jones Jersey , fat guy touchdowns are the best. The Eagles’ started out on their own 26-yard line on the ensuing drive, and Wentz scrambled for eight yards to start the drive. After a pair of false start penalties against the Eagles, Wentz’s pass for Alshon Jeffery fell incomplete and the Eagles were forced to punt. Cameron Johnston booted the ball away, and Brandon Zylstra fielded a short punt and took it to the Minnesota 44-yard line.Cousins found Kyle Rudolph to put the Vikings into Eagles territory at the two-minute warning. The Vikings moved the sticks on a couple of passes to Thielen, and then Thielen caught a pass to move the ball inside the Eagles’ 30. After a questionable. . .very questionable. . .roughing the passer call on Michael Bennett, the Vikings had the ball at the Philadelphia 12-yard line. Cousins found Rudolph down to the 3-yard line, and then Cousins lofted a beautiful pass to Adam Thielen in the back left corner of the end zone for a three-yard touchdown! Bailey tacked on the extra point, and the Vikings took a 17-3 lead into the locker room at halftime.Cousins has been on fire in the first half, as he’s completed 20-of-24 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. Stefon Diggs has done the majority of the damage, as he’s caught six passes for 51 yards. Thielen has six catches for 42 yards and a score, and Kyle Rudolph has hauled in three passes for 22 yards. Laquon Treadwell has also chipped in with three grabs for 21 yards. On the ground, Diggs is actually the team’s leading rusher, too, with two carries for 25 yards. Latavius Murray has five carries for 17 yards, and Roc Thomas has 12 yards on a pair of carries. Mike Boone gained one yard on his lone carry of the day.As we move to the second half at Lincoln Financial Field, the Minnesota Vikings lead the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 17-3. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of play, folks! Case Keenum's new beginning in Denver was blotted by an uncharacteristic three interceptions, almost half the number he threw in Minnesota last year, when only seven of his 481 passes were picked off.Keenum said he awoke the morning after Denver's 27-24 win over Seattle and "I would say it didn't feel quite like I wanted it to feel after my first win as a Bronco. So, there's a lot of hunger. We're all very http://www.thevikingsfootballauthent...rsey-authentic , very hungry to get out there and keep getting better this week."The Broncos (1-0) host Oakland (0-1) on Sunday.Despite the trio of interceptions, Broncos coaches didn't flinch in their faith of Keenum. The QB who teamed with Stefon Diggs to produce the Vikings' virtuoso shocker in the playoffs threw three touchdown passes, punctuating the Broncos' best offensive output since the 2015 finale with a frozen rope to a tiptoeing, tumbling Demaryius Thomas for the winning score.Keenum also hit Emmanuel Sanders (10 catches for 135 yards) for his first touchdown since Week 2 last season, and rookie running back Phillip Lindsay for his first career TD, a 29-yard catch-and-run play.Only one other time in Keenum's 43 NFL games has he thrown as many as three interceptions; in 2016 he was picked off four times by the Giants while with the Los Angeles Rams.Keenum said he needs to relax and realize he doesn't have to press with such talent around him."I trust all those guys," Keenum said. "We've got some incredible playmakers that make plays downfield, and if anything, I just need to make sure when a shot's called, it's not necessarily a shot taken. Check the ball down and rely on those guys because I've got some really big-time playmakers, and let them do what they do."I don't have to do everything myself."His interceptions led to two Seahawks touchdowns and thwarted a Denver drive."That's 17 points I'm responsible for," Keenum said.Coach Vance Joseph liked the way Keenum bounced back from his errant throws."After the interceptions he had his best drives," Joseph said. "So, that speaks to his confidence. It speaks to him not folding."Raiders coach Jon Gruden is also a fan of Keenum's and has been ever since interviewing him for his "QB Camp" show on ESPN in 2012, when Keenum came out of the University of Houston as the NCAA's career leader in completions, passing yards and touchdowns."I've been accused of liking everybody, but I really like Keenum," Gruden said. "What he did in college is unseen, the type of production that he had. I told our people a long time ago when I first got here I think THE free agent acquisition in pro football this year is going to be Case Keenum."Not Kirk Cousins, whom the Vikings turned to after Keenum led them to the NFC championship."What he did in Minnesota Authentic Dalvin Cook Jersey , the toughness that he put on tape," Gruden said, his voice trailing off in admiration. "He made a throw last week against Seattle, there were two or three Seahawks beating down on him — it's a 14-yard gain."His pocket presence, I think his personality, his fight, his grit, he gets the most out of himself. He's given them consistent, quality play at a position that they haven't had since (Peyton) Manning left."Denver's 470 yards of offense was the most by the Broncos since the 2015 finale when Manning returned from a foot injury to rally Denver past the Chargers and vault them toward their Super Bowl 50 triumph.Keenum is just as big a fan of Gruden's."I'm pretty sure he watched every rep that I'd ever played in college, he found some obscure tape from I don't know where," Keenum said. "It was a lot of fun. I got a lot good feedback."One of Gruden's most scrutinized moves since returning to the sideline was sending pass rusher Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears in a move that sent shockwaves throughout the league and also makes life easier on the Raiders' AFC West rivals."He's talented," Keenum said, "but I'm pretty sure they're going to play 11 guys. They're not just going to put 10 out there without him."In a conference call with reporters in Denver on Wednesday, Gruden said he's been asked about the blockbuster trade ad nauseam "and rightfully so.""He's a great guy. He's a great player. It's unfortunate we don't have him," Gruden said. "But we feel we did the right thing for this football team, for the future of the Raiders and for this building process."I know we've got to prove it. But so does he."
